Connecting thread

The games, read through a culture of peace

Beyond the SDGs each game addresses, the collection shares a connecting thread: a culture of peace in the broad sense of UN Resolution 53/243 — peace as coexistence among people, as care for the planet, and as social justice. Not every game touches all three dimensions; each carries the theme where it fits, without forcing it.

  • Peace among people

Dialogue, conflict mediation and the reduction of violence — the peace built in coexistence, in school and in institutions.

  • Peace with the planet

Caring for soil, water and biomes as shared responsibility rather than dispute — the environmental dimension of peace.

  • Peace as justice

Decent work, opportunity and reduced inequality, because no lasting peace stands on exclusion.
